Helene Schlanger Rothschild honors her oldest brother, Jack Schlanger, who was born in 1906. After leaving Europe, he spent time with his father’s family in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Nashville. He travelled quite a bit, and worked in a scrap iron business. He eventually married Jenny Klein from Russelville, Kentucky.
