Buzya Roytershtein (Vera Roytershtein) and Manya Kogan were born in the Ukraine in 1921 and 1925, respectively. The two sisters were taken to Germany because they were living in an occupied territory during the war. Manya became very ill after the war and died in 1947. Buzya survived the war and moved to the United States, and settled in Nashville.
