Lilian Kittower has honored her relatives Chaim Heinrich Starkand, Marien Lustig Starkand, and Leo Max Starkand. Chaim Starkand was her uncle, who was married to Marien; their child, born in 1931, was Leo Max. All of these individuals are believed to have died after they were sent to the Warsaw Ghetto in 1938.
