Elizabeth Limor has honored her mother Sophie Dobrzynski, who was born in 1886 and died in Treblinka. Limor remembered her mother as a striking beauty who was “strong-willed” and very intelligent. Sophie Dobrzynski married a well-to-do merchant who managed a silk store in Lódz. She enjoyed a social, active family life for many years; the family resided in an apartment in a house owned by a wealthy textile family in Lódz.
