Fred Westfield has honored his relatives Willi and Gerta Stern, and their children Kurt and Judis. Wilhelm Stern lived in Essen, Germany, and worked as a merchant. His wife, Gerta, was a housewife and the mother of Kurt, born in 1934, and Judis, born in 1939. The family was all deported by the Nazis; it is possible that Judis was deported to Minsk. Fred Westfield has registered all of these individuals with Yad Vashem.
